“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry
and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we
see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe
you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The
King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of
the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”
~Matthew 25:37-40
This IS Ethiopia
This is where we are
I love this place.
Amidst the devastating poverty here, there is GREAT love.
God is here…and I am so thankful I am too.

Dana.....my eyes well with tears as I read your blog entry just now. I only wish that Gramma Barb could somehow see and know what God is doing in the hearts of different ones in our family.
ReplyDeleteI told my girls that once you have loved an orphan it is most impossible to NOT adopt one. I can also say that once you have stepped into a foreign land and seen more of God's beautiful creation it is IMPOSSIBLE to NOT WANT TO spend a life time telling them about Him and His love for them.
For me there is nothing else quite like hearing Chinese voices raised in praise to the Savior I learned about as a little girl in a far away land. One of my favorite verses comes from the song COMPLETE IN THEE...
Dear Saviour! when before Thy bar
All tribes and tongues assembled are,
Among Thy chosen will I be,
At Thy right hand, complete in Thee.
I do pray that one day you and Rich and all of your little ones have the privilege of living your life in a foreign land...and loving these precious people to Him. I love you so much, Aunt Dee. :)
